"...a business case captures the reasoning for initiating a project..."

Our approach to business case development is collaborative & flexible. We work closely with you to identify the key aspects of the project including its background and history, the expected business benefits, the considered options, the expected costs of the project and the expected risks.

We believe that a business case should demonstrate that the issues have been thought through, the full benefits can be realised on time, technical requirements have been evaluated and costed and the project's success can be measured.

Our business case development process consists of:

Developing a business case overview

  • We discuss the business case & requirements with the business including the background and history, high-level objectives, business benefit and any additional recommendations or requirements.

Analysising costs and benefits

  • We review and capture the estimated costs & benefits, the payback period and associated funding sources associated with the project.

Assessing risk

  • We identify and highlight any associated risks or issues and evaluate the probability and impact to the project and the business.

Designing an implementation strategy

  • We outline the most appropiate use of resources (including people and capital) in order to sucessfully implement your project.

Benefit relisation plan

  • We can also develop a strategy for measuring the benefit to the business including idenfiying measurement metrics and the frequency of such measurements.

Success Measures

  • Additionally, we can help to designate key outcomes and results by which the project can be measured to determine its success.

At the conclusion of process, we provide a business case document. The business case can then be used to identify project goals and act as the basis for project planning and development.
