How to delete a GPT Protective Partition under Windows XP

- Use the ‘DiskPart’ tool on the XP command line:
- use ‘LIST DISK’ to find the volume number of the GPT volume, then use ’SELECT’ 'DISK #' to focus on it
- then use the ‘CLEAN’ function
- then type 'CREATE PARTITION PRIMARY'
- then 'EXIT' to exit the DiskPart tool
- then just use windows to format
