This is a guided tour of the new (to be released) iPhone 3.0 software update. You guys will get update sometime in June.
Some of the new features include :
You can check out these and other functions here: What iPhone OS 3.0 promises users and developers
Some of the features are good, however, they are really more cosmetic changes (besides copy and paste) which has been a standard function in Windows Mobile for some time.. The one feature that is "kind of" missing is Tethering..
Apple’s Senior VP for iPhone Software, Scott Forstall, said that Apple had already built Tethering into the iPhone software, shuffling the burden of “where the heck is it then?” neatly into the hands of the still-waffling carriers.
Well, according to MacRumors, an enterprising developer has gone and shown that Forstall wasn’t just spinning tales. Tethering (where your laptop connects to the internet via a USB or Bluetooth connection to your iPhone) really is already built in there.
Appearently its up to the carriers as to whether they will allow it.. hmm with the way Telstra charges for data.. I can't see why not!
